about

Patrick Hobbs

I am a personal and executive coach with over 3000 hours of professional coaching experience across 30 countries, a coach mentor and supervisor, and a trainer and facilitator. Based in the UK, I work internationally with leaders, entrepreneurs, teams and individuals who have the honesty, courage and desire to look at what is important for them, and what their life is about.

my story

Through my career I have sought to create beauty, possibility and change – in creative business and enterprise, the arts and work with people. I supported and opened up opportunities for disabled adults, disadvantaged children and young offenders. I became a furniture-maker, making pieces designed with the client, set up and managed a gallery selling contemporary art, and helped to establish a new business in Italy. I am also a writer and a published poet, and have written advertising copy and edited several books. Along the way I spent many years overcoming physical disability resulting from a tropical virus. I bring these and other experiences to my work as a coach, supervisor and facilitator.

Having captained rugby and football teams when younger, I now enjoy running and skiing. Art and music, photography and poetry are all important to me. I once spent some months making bread in a monastery and am a trained spiritual director. I love wild places and like to get outside and feel a breeze on my face.

my work

I have worked with many different people in business and personal contexts.  Organisational clients have included Aviva, Barclays Bank, British Gas, Cadbury, Intercontinental Hotels Group, IKEA, John Lewis, Kraft/Mondelez, Lloyds Banking Group,  McKinsey, Philips, Reuters, Sainsbury’s and Unilever, as well as Antwerp International School, United World College Maastricht and the UK’s National Health Service. I specialise in helping leaders to grow and develop.

In everything I do I seek to help people to take hold of what really matters for them, to unstop their creativity in their work and their life, and enjoy it.
